iOS Developer

We are seeking an energetic iOS Developer to jumpstart our mobile engineering team. As an iOS Developer, you will have many responsibilities relating to design, development, and testing of iOS applications. You will be collaborating with project members at various stages of development, looking to innovate and improve every aspect of each app. We work within a fast-paced development timeline that heavily relies on a close relationship to both design and QA. We expect our developers to solve complex engineering problems quickly and intelligently. As an iOS Developer, you will report to the Director of Software Engineering.

Responsibilities: 
Your primary focus will be on our internal applications specific to JeanAkins business needs. You will contribute to the entirety of our front end software stack including UI design, implementing new feature sets, and supporting current technologies. You are expected to be well versed and have proven experience in solid objective oriented software design, with a focus on making an enjoyable experience for our customers. Performance analysis will be a significant role in your duties, ensuring all operations done using our tools are as quick and efficient as they can be. 

 

Qualifications

  • Have 3+ years of iOS development experience
  • Expert in C, Objective-C, Core Services, Core Touch frameworks
  • Sound object-oriented development skills
  • Intimate knowledge of iOS design patterns as well as Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, Sockets
  • Created or worked intimately with a network API that communicates with a remote server for data processing
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Core Animation, UI responsiveness and app performance
  • Passion for designing and implementing outstanding user interfaces and customer experience
  • Experience with integrating 3rd party, open source libraries
  • Up to speed with the latest iOS version changes, features and requirements
  • Experience with task planning and estimating work
  • Experienced in working solo as well as with small to medium sized teams
  • Proven record of completing projects on time and to specification
  • Experience with IPP printing protocols are a plus

Design Intern

Are you passionate about application and web usability? Does designing great interfaces get you up in the morning, and solving that tricky user interaction issue keep you up late at night? Do you enjoy working with a bunch of smart people in a fun, challenging environment? If so, then you might be the right fit to work at JeanAkins as a User Experience Intern.

You will work closely with user experience engineers, software engineers, product managers and others to improve the user experience of our existing tools.
